Through the Mwebaza Foundation, the students at our Colorado partner schools experience a broader education that deepens their cultural understanding, expands their worldview, and fosters a global mindset. In return, our Colorado partner schools and other community supporters raise funds to help with the various needs of our African partner schools. Towards this end, we have constructed schools and classrooms, provided books and other classroom supplies, and aided the schools in feeding and caring for their students. As much as possible, we develop projects and programs with a focus on self-sufficiency, as our ultimate goal is to help our African partner schools fund, maintain, and improve themselves.
Third-party vendors charge credit card and electronic check processing fees when you make an online donation. Two percent of each donation helps to cover these fees and ensures the program's long-term sustainability. The two percent processing fee is one of the lowest processing fees in the country.
You will automatically receive an on-screen acknowledgement letter and an e-mailed copy for your donation. Every donation is tax deductible as a charitable contribution to the full extent permitted by law. If you make a donation to a charity that offers Child Care or Enterprise Zone credits (additional Colorado state tax credits), Community First Foundation will acknowledge that your donation was processed successfully, but the charity will issue you an additional receipt pursuant to that. To learn more about these tax credits, contact the specific nonprofits.
Thank you for Donating through ColoradoGives.org: ColoradoGives.org partners with local nonprofits to facilitate online giving. Nonprofits trust us to process their online donations because of our low processing fees, security and other great things. We do this because we're a nonprofit, too!
