Cat Care Society, a nonprofit organization, was founded in 1981 to improve the quality of life for homeless, abused and injured cats in the Denver Metro area. Our limited intake, cage-free shelter, located at 5787 West Sixth Avenue in Lakewood, provides adoption services, counseling, humane education, community outreach programs and temporary refuge to 75-100 cats until a permanent, loving home can be found. Cat Care Society offers veterinary services at the Cat Clinic which serves the public and the shelter cats. Our clinic offers high quality veterinary care at reasonable prices. We also offer low-income assistance for qualifying families.
Third-party vendors charge credit card and electronic check processing fees when you make an online donation. Two percent of each donation helps to cover these fees and ensures the program's long-term sustainability. The two percent processing fee is one of the lowest processing fees in the country.
You will automatically receive an on-screen acknowledgement letter and an e-mailed copy for your donation. Every donation is tax deductible as a charitable contribution to the full extent permitted by law. If you make a donation to a charity that offers Child Care or Enterprise Zone credits (additional Colorado state tax credits), Community First Foundation will acknowledge that your donation was processed successfully, but the charity will issue you an additional receipt pursuant to that. To learn more about these tax credits, contact the specific nonprofits.
Thank you for Donating through ColoradoGives.org: ColoradoGives.org partners with local nonprofits to facilitate online giving. Nonprofits trust us to process their online donations because of our low processing fees, security and other great things. We do this because we're a nonprofit, too!
