A strong and organized people's voice is needed today to: 1. Protect people and the environment from the impacts of oil and gas drilling, uranium mining and milling, and other forms of extractive energy development. 2. Ensure the balanced use and management of our public lands, including protection of our remaining road-less and wilderness-quality areas. 3. Strengthen our communities with the goal of achieving more local self-reliance and supporting hometown businesses and family farmers. 4. Champion the transition to clean and renewable sources of energy. 5. Provide people with the knowledge, skills and support to effectively participate in public affairs. Democracy is not a spectator sport and requires well-informed and active people. 6. Bring diverse constituencies and people together around commonly held values.
Third-party vendors charge credit card and electronic check processing fees when you make an online donation. Two percent of each donation helps to cover these fees and ensures the program's long-term sustainability. The two percent processing fee is one of the lowest processing fees in the country.
You will automatically receive an on-screen acknowledgement letter and an e-mailed copy for your donation. Every donation is tax deductible as a charitable contribution to the full extent permitted by law. If you make a donation to a charity that offers Child Care or Enterprise Zone credits (additional Colorado state tax credits), Community First Foundation will acknowledge that your donation was processed successfully, but the charity will issue you an additional receipt pursuant to that. To learn more about these tax credits, contact the specific nonprofits.
Thank you for Donating through ColoradoGives.org: ColoradoGives.org partners with local nonprofits to facilitate online giving. Nonprofits trust us to process their online donations because of our low processing fees, security and other great things. We do this because we're a nonprofit, too!
