Denver Kids helps students in Denver Public Schools, who face the challenges of higher-risk environments, successfully complete high school, pursue post-secondary options, and become contributing members of the community.
Important note regarding Denver Kids, Inc.'s Additional Colorado State Tax Credit(s): Individual and corporate gifts of $250 or more may be eligible for the Denver Enterprise Zone Tax Credit, a 25% state income tax credit. In-kind and stock donations valued at $500 or more may qualify for a 12.5% state income tax credit. Colorado Legislation requires donors interested in claiming the Enterprise Zone Tax Credit to file their state income taxes electronically and provide their Federal Employer Identification Number or Colorado Account Number to Denver Kids. Third-party vendors charge credit card and electronic check processing fees when you make an online donation. Two percent of each donation helps to cover these fees and ensures the program's long-term sustainability. The two percent processing fee is one of the lowest processing fees in the country.
You will automatically receive an on-screen acknowledgement letter and an e-mailed copy for your donation. Every donation is tax deductible as a charitable contribution to the full extent permitted by law. If you make a donation to a charity that offers Child Care or Enterprise Zone credits (additional Colorado state tax credits), Community First Foundation will acknowledge that your donation was processed successfully, but the charity will issue you an additional receipt pursuant to that. To learn more about these tax credits, contact the specific nonprofits.
Thank you for Donating through ColoradoGives.org: ColoradoGives.org partners with local nonprofits to facilitate online giving. Nonprofits trust us to process their online donations because of our low processing fees, security and other great things. We do this because we're a nonprofit, too!
