Get Ready to Rally! We encourage Denver-area nonprofits to join the Denver Rally at the city's capitol on Tuesday, November 27. The Denver Rally coincides with #GivingTuesday (messaging for #GivingTuesday can be found on our Nonprofit Toolkit page under the GivingTuesday Toolkit section), a global day of giving, to kick off Colorado Gives Day 2018 and reinforce that the way we participate in #GivingTuesday is to encourage Coloradans to schedule their Colorado Gives Day donations.
The Denver Rally features:
A proclamation declaring December 4, 2018 as Colorado Gives Day
Cash prizes
Comments by government officials, a nonprofit and presenting partners Community First Foundation and FirstBank
Media. This is a visual event designed for news coverage and picture-taking.
Music from a partner nonprofit
Hot beverage
Colorado Gives Day yard signs for you to take and share
Tips:
Generally, two to four people to represent your organization is best. We encourage colorful signs and banners of all shapes and sizes. We also encourage selfies and lots of social media posting to #COGivesDay.
Bundle up. The entire event is outside. Check the weather report and be ready.
Bring water. We will provide a hot beverage, but we recommend bringing water bottles.
Parking. Metered parking and pay lots are located near the Capitol. Allow time for parking.
