Mary Ann Michels & Peter Stackhouse support MORE BIKES. SAFE STREETS. More bikes on Colorado Roadways increases activity levels, community involvement, enjoyment of the outdoors and helps move us toward a cleaner environment. All these benefits have a positive impact in individual and community health.
Due to prior support, the MyCycle program was expanded in 2025 to provide 50 5th graders with new bicycles. Many of the recipients had outgrown bicycles received previously.
Bike Fort Collins’ mission is to increase participation in active transportation and advance bicycle culture and policy changes, creating safer streets and communities, while also creating an inclusive and empowering culture for all bicyclists, regardless of ability or identity.

- Bicycle Advocacy
- Bike Friendly Business
Bike Fort Collins provides program and events and partners with the City of Fort Collins and local bicycle advocacy groups.
Peter estimates that he has ridden over 100,000 miles on Colorado roads. Starting in 1989 with a 21 mile commute to Greeley that featured only one traffic light in Windsor. With increasing traffic it is imperative that safe routes are available for cyclists of all ages.
We also have two grand daughters in Fort Collins who commute to child care on their dad's bicycle. In a few years, they will be riding bikes to schools and need the SAFE ROUTES!
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!
