Description

The museum offers a new art exhibition every eight to twelve weeks, showcasing local, regional, national, and international artists. The exhibitions range from the 20th century to contemporary art in all mediums, such as painting, photography, sculpture, video, drawing and installation art to name a few. The museum also creates a large amount of cultural programming in different artistic mediums to complement our exhibitions. This can range from traditional lectures, gallery talks and panel discussions to recitals, dance programs, film screenings, poetry and word events and educational workshops.

Evidence of Program's Success

Although the greatest indicator of success is the number of visitors and resulting admission revenue; a more difficult gauge is the excitement and wonder that is generated by an exhibition. The comments made by visitors and the happiness reflected on children's faces are an immeasurable boon.

Description

The Museum of Art | Fort Collins is a 501-(C)-3, not-for-profit organization whose mission is to spread the power of visual art. We also have a mission to educate and enrich the lives of our community. The museum offers a variety of classes, lectures, workshops and special events that bring our exhibitions to life for all ages.

MOA presents an ongoing series of gallery talks, docent gallery tours and other enriching collaborative artistic programs to enhance your understanding of art and MOA's exhibitions.

In 2015, the museum opened our new Art.Edu.Osity Creative Space to give youth and adults a place to create art with various hands-on activities that are geared to the changing exhibitions.
