FHM School Mission:
Through the Montessori philosophy, we inspire every child to learn and grow as a responsible global citizen in a collaborative, peaceful, and safe environment.
FHM School Vision:
We seek to transform our community by developing students who pursue their full potential, understand their global responsibilities, and respect others, self, and the environment.
When Free Horizon Montessori was established in 2002, the founders also created a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization named Free Horizon Montessori Foundation. The purpose of the FHM Foundation is to serve as the fundraising arm of the school and provide an independent source of funding for support of the school's programming.
In 2006, the FHM Foundation Board reorganized and started doing business as the Community Support Network (or CSN). The CSN's name is derived from its commitment to support Free Horizon Montessori community both financially and in spirit. Its focus is to build community, organize volunteer opportunities, fundraise, support families and staff, and enhance educational programming at the school.
Free Horizon Montessori was my first school and was awesome. I was there for 6 years and each year got better and better. The environment was helping and nice, the teachers and staff there were always looking out for me. If I ever needed help, any parent or teacher in the building was willing to help me. My favorite memories there are: #1 when I met my best friend on the playground in first grade, we have been best friends up to this very day, and #2 in 5th grade when my 2nd best friend's mom was our teacher and we always saw her outside of school which is always weird when you're used to only seeing her as a teacher and not your best friend's mom. In conclusion, Free Horizon has given all a school can give me, friends, great education, and safety. Thank you Free Horizon for giving me all I need to move on in education and safety:)!!!!!

Free Horizon has been the heart of our family for 8 years. Honoring the mind, body, and spirit of children as well as the individualized curriculum nurtured my kids into their teen years. We are so blessed to have this foundation for our children in their academic future.

The Colorado Gives program is a great opportunity to support all of the children in our Free Horizon Montessori community. With the decreased availability in funding for public and charter schools, contributions from the community are even more crucial. The Colorado Gives program is a way to express our gratitude to the school and staff that supports the growth of our children.

We didn't know much about the Montessori method of education before starting our kids at Free Horizon Montessori at age 3, but we are so grateful now to have found this school. Multi-age classrooms and freedom to move make so much sense! Our kiddos have thrived with FHM's focus on individualized Montessori education, independence, character education, and global citizenship. Free Horizon Montessori fosters our kids' love for learning and challenges them academically. Respect for others, self, and the environment is intrinsically taught and practiced, which makes our school a really special place to be. FHM's administration and staff are amazingly dedicated. Parents are very involved in many volunteer capacities. It really does take a village, and our village is amazing! We are so lucky to have this public Montessori option for preschool to 8th grade in our community.

Deliriously happy 3rd grade boy at Free Horizon Montessori, enjoying all the rich experiences created for him in his school environment. He has developed great peer and adult relationships over the past 3 years. The staff is professional, highly experienced and above all, passionately dedicated to fostering the whole child. The leadership teams of Administration, Board of Directors and Community Support Network (CSN) work in concert to get staff and children's needs met to the best of their abilities, even in challenging public school funding times; ever improving and always going above and beyond.
