Join us for Women Build with Habitat for Humanity of Archuleta County— an event designed to bring women together to build more than just homes.
When you attend, you won’t just be helping on a jobsite — you’ll leave feeling fulfilled, empowered, and proud of the difference you made. You’ll gain hands-on knowledge, learn new skills, and walk away with a deeper understanding of the impact we can have when we work together.
Most importantly, you’ll build meaningful friendships and strengthen bonds with other incredible women on the jobsite. Women Build is about community, connection, and discovering what we’re capable of — together. We would like to encourage women in Local Leadership positions to create a team during our Women Build to help

Women can participate as an individual or with a group of friends (only 24 slots available, max 12 per day). Gather friends and work side-by-side with future homeowners, offering a unique opportunity to highlight the ways Habitat for Humanity empowers women and builds stability in our community. You will work with our skilled construction staff to learn new skills, get some fresh air, exercise and, most importantly, to help provide deserving families in our community with a decent place to live.
****No experience is necessary, just a desire to help and to learn something new. Please wear work appropriate clothes – dress for the weather and wear close-toed shoes. You may bring your own tools if you’d like, but Habitat will provide everything you’ll need for the day. Habitat volunteers perform a variety of critical tasks, including painting, caulking, framing, and installing flooring, cabinets, doors, and windows.
How: To reserve a spot for or ask any questions, email volunteer@habitatarchuleta.org
Our goal for Women Build event is threefold: Raise money to build the last 4 homes in our 15 in 5 Strategic plan, empower women, and raise awareness of the need for affordable housing. You can be part of our effort by signing up.
If you cannot participate on the job site, we would gladly accept a donation on your behalf to show support for our mission. https://www.habitatarchuleta.org/donate/
Share this invitation with your friends and network. Help us get the word out!!
The Women Build program is not about excluding men; it’s about including women and challenging them to help eliminate poverty housing in our community by providing a female-friendly work site that empowers women to take leadership roles and learn new skills.
Building together: You will find women of all ages, ethnicities, professions, and faiths serving together on the Women Build construction site. We hope you’ll join us!
