The Problem No One Talks About

Plastic bottle caps are among the top 5 deadliest items for marine life — making up 8% of all ocean trash. Because they're too small for conventional recycling machines, they slip through the system and end up in our rivers, landfills, and oceans, slowly breaking down into microplastics that enter our food chain.

Most people don't know this. We're changing that.

The UNCAPPED Movement

Elevate for Change is a Colorado-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit with a bold mission: intercept 3,000,000 plastic bottle caps — equivalent to 9,000 kg of plastic — before they reach our environment.

Those caps won't end up in a landfill. They'll become art.

Led by internationally acclaimed Venezuelan eco-muralist Oscar Olivares, we are transforming reclaimed caps into a series of permanent ecological murals across Colorado schools, parks, and community spaces — including the first-ever permanent bottle cap mural in the United States, right here at Denver's Auraria Campus.

This is not a temporary installation. This is a cultural legacy.

The Circular Economy of Art: How Your Dollar Works

UNCAPPED runs on what we call a "Circular Economy of Art" — every dollar raised does double duty: it funds the movement and directly invests in the community that inspires it.

20% of every dollar donated goes directly to:

📚 Programa Teresa Educational scholarships for the local Hispanic community.

The other 80% powers the movement itself: cap collection, mural production, community events, and educational programming.
