Through your support, we are able to serve as a hub to residents in Westwood and surrounding west Denver neighborhoods, meeting short-term, practical needs in a setting that empowers families to improve their lives, and encourages community building and personal spiritual formation.

"I first heard about Crossroads when my dad was in the hospital for emergency surgery. My family was out of food and needed help. On their way home from the hospital, my parents knocked on the door to Crossroads' food bank, only to find it closed for the day. Even as the staff explained the hours to them, they understood the look of hopelessness on their faces. The staff let them in and loaded them up with enough food for the week! The food they provided that day planted seeds of hope in our family that things could get better. Now that we are back on our feet, we volunteer at the food bank to share this same hope and friendship with our neighbors."

Another example of Crossroads helping to change a family's story shows how the organization is empowering clients to thrive in a new culture. A young mother from Mexico started attending ESL classes at Crossroads in order to help her children learn English and succeed in school. When needed, the schools provide a translator for parent teacher conferences. After attending ESL classes for some time, she was pleased to report that she understood everything said in the conference without the help of a translator! Her eldest son has now graduated and is paying his own tuition for trade school.
