Mission

We serve as a catalyst for collaboration between individuals, communities of faith and other organizations to impact our local and global communities in need. Through practical outreach and strategic solutions, we seek to encourage and empower the people we serve.

\con"flue*ence\, n. [l. confluentia] the act of flowing together; the meeting or junction of two or more streams; the place of meeting.

Background Statement

Jude and Cindy Del Hierro launched Confluence Ministries in 2003 after taking possession of the building at 1400 Quitman Street in Denver, CO. Vacant for nearly 8 years, it was in a state of serious disrepair and deterioration and was reported to be the "center of crime" in the W. Colfax Neighborhood. Although the Del Hierro's were reluctant to embrace the idea of restoring this building, they were inspired by a vision for this community and the impact the building could have on its transformation.

With the help of hundreds of volunteers and compassionate partners over a period of 8 years, the building interior was completely renovated and re-built into a beautiful, practical outreach center in the West Colfax neighborhood.

The persistent work of servant-hearted people gave profound expression to more than a building... a far-reaching vision for community and personal transformation, a contagious mission for unselfish living, and the reality that personal change is experienced through acts of service toward others.
