Testimonials

"You see the most incredible things when you walk these conserved lands. I want my granddaughters to experience these mountains the way I have. Volunteering at the CDLT is my way of making sure that we're protecting our mountains for future generations." - Terry Kryshak, CDLT Land Stewart.

"Landscape such as ours cannot be ignored. It is an integral part of our emotional experience." - Thomas Hornsby Ferril , writer.

"It is not enough to fight for the land; it is even more important to get to enjoy it. While you can. While it's still there" - Edward Abbey, author and activist

Background Statement

Continental Divide Land Trust was incorporated in 1994 and since has permanently protected 2,600 acres of land in Summit and Park Counties. These lands are protected through 15 conservation easements and the ownership of one property in fee. We continue to expand our educational programs and provide stewardship of the lands under our care. CDLT was Certified in 2010 by the State of Colorado to hold conservation easements for which a State tax benefit is taken, and has been re-certified annually.
