Summary

Your matched donation will help us implement some exciting new programs in 2020 and beyond.
1. The Mobile Art Lab will bring art classes and workshops to people and places who are not able to come to us.
2. Career Pathways in Cultural and Heritage Tourism for Local Native Youth will work with youth to develop skills, experience, and pride in traditional and contemporary Native American heritage, culture and knowledge through summer camps, after school programs, and paid internships.
3. On Demand Birding Tours will offer expert-led bird-watching experiences throughout the year to rarely seen high desert and sub-alpine wildlife habitats. Participant observations will help ecologists monitor changes in migratory patterns, providing insight into impacts from the changing environment.
4. Way Off Center Adventures will craft customized affordable cultural exchange travel packages to exciting international locations for people looking to broaden their horizons and make lifelong connections.
5. The annual Four Corners Food Fest will celebrate our region's culinary bounty - both ancient and contemporary - with classes, workshops, tours, lectures, music, food, and fun.
6. The restoration and renovation of the historic 1909 E.R. Lamb Building will help preserve the historic integrity of downtown Cortez; improve energy efficiency; and create community art, meeting and cooking classrooms, and co-working spaces for local nonprofits.
