Mission

Enriching our community through arts and cultural experiences for everyone.

Background Statement

The Center for the Arts in Crested Butte was born in 1985 when a passionate group of local residents came together to turn an old county road maintenance garage into a multipurpose arts center. They were so successful that they eventually outgrew their space. A new 31,000 square foot space was built and soon became the hub of the Crested Butte community. The Center now features year-round arts and cultural programming and hosts events for over 40 local partner organizations. It has truly become the center of Crested Butte and it is where community happens!
