On September 12, 2015 Cameron David Blatnik, a beloved son, baby brother and friend was taken from us in a tragic car accident on his way home to get ready for his senior homecoming.

He was very active in high school sports, playing Football for two years, basketball for two years, and track and field for two years-among the numerous medals and ribbons he won during his track and field career the most prestigious is his 2015 state championship medal for the 1600 Meter Relay Medley with the Springer Red Devils in New Mexico.

On July 3rd 2015, Cameron enlisted with the United States Army Armed Forces the summer after his junior year and was to be shipped out to boot camp on June 1st 2016, his eighteenth birthday, as a Calvary Scout.

Cameron was born and raised in Trinidad and always had a passion and interest in guns and the history of guns. After the Army, he talked of enrolling in the Gunsmithing Program to further his knowledge and skills in that area. The fund will be used towards creating a memorial scholarship in his name to help gunsmithing students with their educational expenses.

Any amount of support will be greatly appreciated. Click on the Donate Now button or send your check payable to the TSJC Educational Foundation, 600 Prospect St., Trinidad, CO 81082. Please reference Cameron Blatnik Memorial Scholarship in the memo line of the check.
