The Broomfield Symphony Orchestra's goals are to present quality musical experiences that appeal to audiences with diverse musical tastes. We wish to promote a taste for cultural excellence in our community and increase the accessibility of music and musical instruments to the community through our Instrument Petting Zoos and other community outreach events.
The Broomfield Symphony was formed as the Broomfield Civic Orchestra, Inc. in the fall of 1981 to provide the residents of the Broomfield area with an opportunity to participate in and enjoy peformances of orchestral music, and also to enrich the cultural life of Broomfield and nearby communities.
In 2011, the BCO board approved the trade name "Broomfield Symphony Orchestra" in recognition of the increased membership and wider repertoire of the orchestra.
Our members are non-professional musicians of all ages from all walks of life who donate their time and talents.
