For the Kids!

I first attended Wapiyapi when I was 13, after my sister was diagnosed with cancer. Wapiyapi was a place where my family and I could heal. I looked forward to camp every year afterwards because it was a place where I felt like I could be a kid again without having to worry about cancer. Wapiyapi became my home and my family. It is the happiest place on earth, filled with colorful tutus and facepaint, and non-stop laughter. Perhaps that's why they call it "The best week of the year." I have been attending Wapiyapi for 13 years now and have volunteered as a counselor for the past 8 years. This year, I want to raise $1,000 - the cost to send one kid to camp. No child pays to attend Wapiyapi and the entire camp is fueled by donations, fundraisers, and the generous support of fun-loving volunteers. I want to give back to the community that has given me so much and the kids that inspire me throughout the year. Please help me achieve that goal and make camp possible for more deserving kids!
