For more than 30 years, Blue Sky Bridge has served as Boulder County’s Child Advocacy Center, fostering safe communities, healing, and justice to end child abuse. Established to provide a safe, child-centered environment for children and families impacted by abuse, Blue Sky Bridge brings together law enforcement, social services, and medical partners through neutral, professionally led forensic interviews that reduce trauma and support effective investigations. Every child deserves to be safe — and every survivor deserves the best possible care.

Blue Sky Bridge’s three-program continuum of care works to prevent abuse before it happens, respond when it occurs, and help children heal afterward:

  • Our Prevention Education Program reaches thousands of students each year with body-safety education, empowering children and adults to recognize and report unsafe situations.

  • Our Intervention Program provides a coordinated, compassionate response for children disclosing abuse and their non-offending caregivers.

  • Our Therapy & Healing Program offers trauma-informed treatment that restores hope and helps children and families move forward.

We are busier than ever before, addressing more complex cases and mental-health needs than at any time in our history. Your partnership ensures we can continue delivering these life-changing services — giving children and families across Boulder County safety, support, and a path to healing.

Testimonials

"Blue Sky Bridge is my kids' hero."

Mother of two courageous siblings who disclosed details of abuse during a Blue Sky Bridge forensic interview

"Blue Sky Bridge School-based Prevention Education Program is a comprehensive curriculum educating children about sexual abuse by teaching strategies to students, staff, families and the community. More importantly, it teaches students how to advocate for their own safety and seek help from trusted adults when needed. A much needed addition and complement to the social emotional programs required by schools taught in a clear, engaging way."

Mission

Blue Sky Bridge exists to create lasting, positive change in the lives of children impacted by abuse.

We champion children’s safety and healing through prevention education, coordinated intervention, and trauma-informed therapy — working hand in hand with families and community partners to ensure every child is heard, protected, and given the chance to thrive.

Background Statement

For 30 years, Blue Sky Bridge has been Boulder County’s Child Advocacy Center, dedicated to ensuring that children impacted by abuse are heard, protected, and given the chance to heal.

Founded in 1994 through a collaboration of community leaders, law enforcement, and social services, Blue Sky Bridge was built on the belief that a child’s voice should be met with compassion, coordination, and care. What began as a small program in Niwot has grown into a nationally accredited center offering prevention education, forensic interviews, family advocacy, and trauma-informed therapy.

Today, we continue to lead a countywide effort to end child abuse—creating lasting, positive change for children, families, and our community.
