Colorado Gives Day starts in

Black Lives Matter 5280

Rocky Mountain Peace and Justice Center

First and foremost, thank you for your support of our mission and work. 2020 has brought unprecedented challenges to our community, and so we must look ahead to exciting work and brighter days that will be made possible by supporters like you!

Thanks to the support of donors like you, BLM5280 has been able to do all of the following and more: we have kept 25 families housed who would have otherwise faced displacement due to COVID19-related financial hardships; we hosted our largest-ever Freedom School and have added Saturday Freedom school sessions; we have provided over $3,000 in mental health and wellness support to members of our BLM5280 family; and have provided over $8,500 in emergency assistance to our wider community. None of this would have been possible without our community.

BLM5280 has big plans for the upcoming year and we are counting on your support to help bring them to fruition. Among these plans are the continued expansion of our Freedom School programming; the support of even more families impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic; an exciting partnership between local Black-woman-owned businesses and our Economic Justice team; and the exciting search for a Denver property that can house our work and provide safe and loving space for our community. Our work is to cultivate communities of abundant joy where all Black people are emboldened and empowered to lead, love, heal, and thrive. We hope that we can count on your support this Colorado Gives Day.

Help us eliminate racism and fight for racial justice in Colorado!
