Background Statement

Established in 1948, the Arthritis Foundation is the leading nonprofit health organization dedicated to finding a cause and cure of arthritis and related diseases. The Rocky Mountain Chapter has provided community education and support programs to people throughout Colorado, Montana and Wyoming since 1950.

The Great West Region was incorporated in January 2011 when several chapters, including the Rocky Mountain Chapter, combined to better serve over 5 million people living with arthritis, including 30,000 children, in Alaska, Northern California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
