Support Service Dogs For My Birthday!

$395

$438 goal

Hi, my name is Annie and I'm turning 12 on April 23rd. Did you know that means I'll be 84 years old in dog years?!

I want to raise money for Freedom Service Dogs for my birthday.

Did you know that dogs and wolves- and all of the canine species- are my favorite animals?

I also recently learned about some of the challenges faced by veterans when they return home from serving their country, including service-related physical injuries, as well as post traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injury.

Operation Freedom, a program of Freedom Service Dogs, helps connect veterans and active injured military with full access service dogs. I think that is good because if the vets are having challenges, then they can have a friend through this program.

The dogs learn over 50 commands while they train at FSD, ranging from turning on lights to opening doors to moving the laundry from the washer to the dryer! The training takes between 6-9 months to complete and then they are matched with their client.

Two other reasons I really like this program are: all the dogs they train are rescues, and if a dog turns out not to be a fit for the program, they make sure it finds a good home.

Please consider making a gift to Freedom Service Dogs for my birthday! Since 12 years=4,380 days, I'd like to raise at least $438.00.

Thank you!
