When a child has special needs, the entire family has special needs. The mission of Adam's Camp is to realize the potentials and develop the strengths of children and young adults by bringing together families with professionals and volunteers to collaboratively provide customized, intensive therapy, family support, and recreation in a camp environment. Single Parents
This six-day program is for children, ages 8-14-years-old, parents and siblings. It is the only activity based therapy program of its kind in Colorado. During the program, the child with special needs receives five to six hours of activity based therapeutic input daily from pediatric physical, occupational, music, speech andor behavioral and/or educational therapists. Parents participate in educational programs led by expert presenters or use this time for much needed respite while siblings have a blast in sibling camp. Families stay together in cabins, enjoying family time around meals and campfires The Mountain Camps are held at the YMCA Camp of the Rockies-Snow Mountain Ranch, Granby, Colorado.

Adolescents/Youth (13-19 years)
For youth, teens and young adults with mild to moderate disabilities, primarily in association with Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, some autism spectrum disorders and genetic syndromes.
Campers develop independence, self esteem and social skills through fun and friendship.
Daily adventures including: a river raft trip, alpine slide rides, miniature golf, fishing, swimming, hiking, nature walks, wall climbing, singing, cabin games.
Group size: 10 kids, 2 adult staff (one a special education professional or clinical therapist) and 4 volunteers who act as peers and role models.
Return rates for this program are 75% - 95%+. We have wait lists for all of these programs.
1. 91% report having as much or more fun than expected.
2. 85% report that they made new friends at camp.
3. 72% of parents/caregivers reported that their youth/adult had a gain in skills to develop greater independence following camp.

This therapeutic program is for children, ages 6 months to 4-years-old, and their parents or caregivers. It is the only intensive, early intervention program of its kind in Colorado. The one-week session includes daily three hour one-to-one therapy from pediatric physical, occupational, music and speech therapists.
