Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado Inc.

Make-A-Wish Colorado creates life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses. We're on a quest to grant the wish of every eligible child because research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness.

Description

The program objectives of the Make-A-Wish Foundation are simple: to grant wishes to every Colorado child with a life-threatening medical condition. Make-A-Wish Foundation of Colorado has a diverse funding stream. We raise and manage all the funds needed to grant the wishes of children throughout Colorado. We are not a United Way Agency and do not receive government funding.

Wishes are supported by individuals, corporate and foundation giving. Wishes range from $2,000 to more than $10,000; depending on the wish and the number of family members participating. The current average cost of a Colorado wish is approximately $7,500.

Evidence of Program's Success

The following are quotes from wish families:

"Our hearts are full of love and our minds crowded with very precious memories that were made because of Make-A-Wish of Colorado... the gratitude to you will always be in our hearts for helping make a last wish for our child come true."

"What a wonderful time for the whole family...because for seven days we were able to forget about doctors and hospitals and Will was able to be just an eight year old boy having the time of his life."
