Warm Hearts Warm Babies have received thank you notes and letters from parent(s) who appreciate the items received. No new mother expects to need these items but the hospitals request sized items to keep on hand and we get continued requests.

Description

These layettes contain new store-bought items, such as diaper, wipes, socks, bottles, and toiletries and handcrafter items. We make the diaper bag and fill it with 25-30 items. We also make layettes for agencies that do not require new items. The staff at the hospitals request girl or boy layettes and determine who receives them so no baby leaves the hospital in only a diaper.

Evidence of Program's Success

We hear back from hospitals and agencies sometimes of the emotional impact a new mother has when she receives a layette.

Evidence of Program's Success

We hear rom the staff of hospitals how grateful parents are to have clothing for their premature baby. Parents have gone through enough just to get their baby to come home without worrying how to cloth their baby.
