Our mission is to accelerate excellence in healthcare at Valley View through philanthropy.
Valley View Hospital was originally built in 1955 through a federal post-war program to bring medical services to rural communities. The townspeople organized a campaign to raise $340,000 that was matched by the federal government. In this way, the community worked together to provide residents with a nonprofit community hospital.
Valley View has grown considerably since 1955, completing numerous major expansion projects. All income has been reinvested in the building, technology and staff to keep pace with the growing demand for services. The Hospital has remained financially viable without a base of local tax support over the last 50 years. Its commitment to ensuring the best healthcare possible for our community gave rise to the Valley View Hospital Foundation.
Established in 2003, the Foundation serves as the philanthropic arm of Valley View, tapping into the pride, generosity and passion that enabled the Hospital's initial founding.
