As someone with extensive experience living, studying, working, and traveling in Brazil , I felt obligated to give something back to Brazil. Along the path of becoming fluent in Portuguese I had so many generous host families and friends willing to help me practice and develop confidence speaking. Looking back, I realized it was that interaction with people that ultimately made it possible for me to become fluent.When I discovered US Brazil connect I was ecstatic! It was my chance to provide that same face to face, personal, and ongoing cultural exchange for a group of Brazilian youth. Without the help of fundraising efforts from previous fellows, this experience may not have been possible for me. Now it is time for me to help provide the same opportunity for the next round of fellows. USBC is an incredible organization, from the highest leadership to each of the fellows and coordinators. Please help us to continue and expand this incredible opportunity for developing cross-cultural exchange and the opening of economic opportunities for Brazil and the United States!
