To provide literacy education to the Eagle County community.
The Literacy Project was founded in 1990 and is housed in the Avon Public Library. Our focus is to empower Eagle Valley community members of all ages by offering free assistance in acquiring the literacy skills our students need to function more effectively in their daily lives. The Literacy Project currently provides a variety of programs that support English language acquisition and literacy promotion, including pre-literacy services for preschoolers, tutoring programs for school-aged children and youth, and adult literacy programs.
