As one of the few organizations which provide social support and clinical services specific to the transgender/nonbinary/genderfluid communities, the GIC is a crucial entity.

Our mission is to provide support for all gender identities and expressions through direct services and social change utilizing empowerment, identity affirmation, outreach, education, advocacy, creating safe spaces and a sense of community.
In 1978 four women who were transitioning got together with a unique vision and dream. Their dream became the Gender Identity Center of Colorado, Inc. Now, thirty seven years later, the organization continues to provide support to all gender identities and expressions.
We provide informational and educational resources to the community at large. We proudly make our services and support available to anyone across the broad spectrum of gender who can benefit from our services, along with their spouses, significant others, parents, and family members.
The Gender Identity Center of Colorado is a tax exempt, 501(3)c nonprofit corporation which provides these public services to the community, but receives none of its support from tax dollars. It is funded by combination of tuition for seminars and workshops, membership dues, and donations. It is sustained by the generous people of Colorado.
We will continue to grow and reevaluate every year and provide services to our clients, individuals, families, businesses, and churches, and the greater Colorado community needs.
