Mission

The Foundation for Douglas County Schools works to enrich the student experience and promote innovation. The Foundation is an independent charitable organization that develops private resources to support our students and schools.

The Foundation is the nexus between the Douglas County School District and the greater community. The FDCS connects, finds, and funds opportunities with partners and the larger business community to have the greatest positive impact on the students of the Douglas County School District. We achieve this through our pillars of Innovation & Leadership, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, & Math), and Community.

Background Statement

The Foundation for Douglas County Schools was created in June 1991 to develop private resources to enrich education within Douglas County School District (DCSD).
