Description

Skyline Chorus is the foundation of our organization. It is a Denver-based chapter of Sweet Adelines International, a world-wide organization dedicated to advancing a cappella, four-part harmony in the barbershop style through education and performance. Skyline Chorus, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, was founded in 1962 and now boasts more than 140 members. Women of all ages and backgrounds make up Skyline Chorus, including students, dancers, actors, teachers, doctors, lawyers, engineers and homemakers. We regularly perform in the Denver Metro area and compete in competitions sponsored by Sweet Adelines International, including a competition held in October 2012 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, where we were awarded 4th place and the 2014 contest held in Baltimore, Maryland. The chorus recently returned from the 2016 International Competition in Las Vegas, Nevada where we were awarded 4th place in the world.

In addition, we have recognized by our peers as champions of this Region of Sweet Adelines International every year we have competed since 2000, i.e., 8 times.

Since its formation, the Foundation has held several educational events, and participants in those events have performed with Skyline at is bi-annual show and its Christmas show.
