Educating people and communities to make healthy sustainable choices. - Since 2000
The Sustainable Living Association has taken a lead in bringing the concept and practices of sustainable lifestyles into everyday life for nearly two decades. SLA serves the Rocky Mountain region, providing opportunities designed to educate people on sustainable lifestyles. Its activities provide knowledge and skill sets that allow individuals to adopt sustainable practices in their lives, by growing their own food, minimizing their energy consumption, using sustainable development practices and reducing their use of Earth's natural resources. Our goal is to provide individuals with the necessary skills, knowledge and resources to modify their lifestyles, thereby reducing their environmental impact. This is accomplished through our Sustainability Leadership Program, Sustainable Business Program, Earth Day Fort Collins and other community events that connect environmental stewardship and sustainable development.
"The Sustainable Living Association's effort in the area of sustainable energy, agriculture and social responsibility serve to educate many people in Northern Colorado. Your team's effort demonstrate, in a very tangible way, the attention Rocky Mountain Sustainable Living Association pays to our responsibilities as stewards of the land."
Mark E. Udall, U.S. Senator
