The 15th Annual Roll Out the Barrels Food and Funds Drive is sponsored by the Community Action Network ("CAN") Committee of the Denver Bar Association. The drive runs from April 6-17 and all food and funds generated from the drive will support Metro Caring's work. Metro Caring (formerly Metro CareRing) is Denver's largest hunger-relief organization directly serving families, offering a comprehensive approach focused on healthy-foods access, nutrition/gardening education, self-sufficiency, and community health services.
During Roll Out the Barrels, local law firms and other businesses collect food and cash donations from their employees. Food donations can be placed in barrels located on-site at each firm or business. Cash contributions can be made online through this page or mailed to Kate Schuster at the Denver Bar Association, 1900 Grant Street, Suite 900, Denver, CO 80203.
Metro Caring is significantly growing this year as it transitions into the Hunger Relief Center, a new 16,000-square-foot facility that will allow expanded educational and self-sufficiency programming.
