Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue, Inc.

A nonprofit organization

$44,397 raised by 224 donors

For each dog adopted, our average expense is approx $350 more than our average adoption fee. We depend on donations to provide the proper vet care many of our rescued cockers need. Some dogs come to us because their owners cannot afford their dogs' care due to job loss or divorce while some have lost their owner after a sudden unexpected death of their owner. Please consider making a donation to help those we rescue from New Mexico north into Wyoming and Montana and from Utah east to Kansas/Missouri.

Mission

Our mission is to rescue Cocker Spaniels and their under 35 lb companions in while partnering with animal control and shelters to rehabilitate those who have been neglected or abused, to assist owners with medical care and other alternatives instead of surrendering their dogs to a shelter, and to promote the importance of sterilizing all pets.

Background Statement

Rocky Mountain Cocker Rescue (RMCR) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, charitable organization and licensed the rescue under the State of Colorado's Pet Care Animal Facilities Act (PACFA). We are the only licensed Cocker rescue in the state.

All our dedicated volunteers make a significant and lasting difference in the lives of unwanted, abandoned, abused or neglected Cocker Spaniels in Colorado and the entire Rocky Mountain region. The rescue has more than 100 volunteers who rescue, rehabilitate and re-home dogs. We average 150 rescues annually. We work with dozens of animal shelters in more than 7 states who will contact us with any cockers they are not able to adopt in their facility.
