The Loveland Public Library needs your help to create the "Pop-Up Computer Lab", a collaborative project to shift the focus of technical services from the physical library into the community.
By acquiring and applying technology solutions and by taking actions coordinated with the four agencies listed below, the Pop-Up Computer Lab will expand library services to the most vulnerable populations, whose public access to digital resources and learning has been severely curtailed. Agency clients will gain knowledge and skills targeted to employment application, public assistance and online information access, meeting a growing and urgent need in the Loveland community and providing a framework for future innovation in service delivery.
Collaborating agencies include:
Loveland Small Business Development Center
Larimer County Workforce Center
Aspire 3D - Loveland Housing Authority
In times of economic hardship, libraries traditionally see an increase in demand for services. This project will help to ease the economic impact of COVID-19 within our community by supporting business owners, families, students, seniors and individuals in need of help navigating digital resources, technology training, and access to necessary hardware and software.
