Pikes Peak Historical Street Railway Foundation

About $3 MM is needed to relocate streetcar operations to a property along N Nevada that the City is buying for our use. Laying rail, constructing buildings and moving assets will be required. We plan to lay track, connecting downtown with UC - Colorado Springs, serving five destination points.

Years of exposure to the elements (sitting outside) has caused rusting and in some areas, a need for metal replacement. Bondo removal, rust remediation and repainting with automobile paint is required on all metal surfaces. Wooden doors also need repainting.

Description

Memberships are the lifeblood of our Foundation. Good for one year, they entitle members to free admission and to receive our Singing Wire newsletter, along with any periodic bulletins we produce. Also included is a 10% discount on our Gift Shop items. Individual memberships are $35., Family memberships are $50. and Corporate memberships are $100. Additional amounts are appreciated as well, and can be directed at specific programs. We need your name, address and email if available.

Description

Visitors in wheelchairs or on crutches are not able to access our operating streetcar. A special lift is available that includes a ramp that folds down to allow crossing over the interior steps found on rail vehicles.
