Testimonials

"I just want to thank you so much for the frozen dinners! They saved my life! I got COVID in June - took very strong medicine which I had to eat food before taking. I didn't feel well enough to cook so the frozen dinners did the job! I thank you and praise the Park County Senior Coalition office."

"I am so grateful to the Park County Senior Coalition for all their emotional support and financial help. I was becoming seriously concerned about the fire danger on my property and the Senior Coalition has been invaluable in reducing that risk."

“ I have used your travel program since 2016 when I could no longer drive. What a great life changer for me to have the help of the Senior Coalition here in little Guffey so I can stay in my home. Thank you with much gratitude.”

"We've retired and have been residents in Bailey since 1982-over 35 years. It comes with much gratitude that Park County Senior Coalition has provided this service to financially help us with chimney sweeping."

"We have been very happy with the PCSC for food when we needed it. PCSC has been good to us."

"I also want to thank you for the installation of a storm door off my kitchen back door! I can now open the door for cool air or close up the glass for winter, with no water getting in underneath it! The carpenter did an excellent job installing it and caulking around it--all made possible for me by the great folks at Park County Senior Coalition!
THANK YOU SO MUCH!"

Mission

The mission of Park County Senior Coalition is to help seniors maintain the highest quality of life by remaining in their homes as long as they wish and are able.

Background Statement

The Park County Senior Coalition (PCSC) was established in 1977 as a social organization for older adults in Fairplay. This brought to light the needs in Fairplay and surrounding communities for rides to medical appointments, help with chores around the house, and food assistance. It became clear that additional services were required to aid seniors in all areas of Park County and social programming was not sufficient. In 1984 the Park County Senior Coalition became a registered 501c3 to serve Park County in its entirety and allow older adults to maintain the highest quality of life by providing services that allow them to stay in their homes as long as they wish and are able. Since that time our programming has grown immensely and the number of older adults we serve has climbed to 600. Park County Senior Coalition is the only service provider available for residents 60 years and older in all of Park County
