This year, we are excited to introduce Give Paddington, a refreshed approach to annual giving that honors what makes Paddington such a joyful and connected place for children and families. Our hope is that this campaign reflects the heart of our community: the delight of discovery, the comfort of belonging and the magic that unfolds when children learn through play.

Give Paddington invites each of us to participate in the life of our school in a meaningful way. This year, you are invited to give where your heart connects most deeply, through one of four special funds that support our children, teachers, and families:

Paddington Discretionary Fund: All funds raised go directly toward creating the special sauce that makes Paddington, Paddington! This flexible fund supports the heart of our community, giving us the ability to respond to emerging needs, seize new opportunities and sustain the joyful learning environment our children and families love.

Child Experience: Provide all Paddington children with the tools they need to grow and thrive! This fund supports enhanced classroom materials, special events and enrichment experiences, everything from art supplies to playground equipment for those big body movements. Your generosity expands our children’s world of discovery every day—think author visits, musicians, and other enriching guests!

Outdoor Environment: From Outdoor Classrooms and learning gardens to building and grounds improvements, and exterior safety initiatives, this fund ensures our environment is as special on the outside as it is on the inside. Your support keeps our spaces safe, welcoming and ready for big play and big learning!

Financial Assistance: Ensure children can have strong foundational learning opportunities and experience the magic of Paddington. Your gift supports tuition assistance so each child can grow through play, curiosity and connection.

Every contribution - at every level - strengthens our shared commitment to nurturing wonder, supporting our teachers and sustaining a community where children are known, loved and encouraged to be themselves.

We are grateful for the many ways you participate in the life of Paddington, and we look forward to all we will continue to build together.

With appreciation and gratitude,

Mission

Paddington Station Preschool is a welcoming and inclusive community that partners with families to celebrate childhood, embrace learning through play, and prepare confident individuals to joyfully explore the wonders of the world.

Background Statement

Paddington Station Preschool began as a dream of educators and parents who were searching for a preschool that was child centered and play based.

The very first Paddington Station preschool class formed in September of 1993 and was located in the backyard of a house in Park Hill with ten children, two teachers and a pet potbelly pig. Over the years it grew and was housed in many different and unique locations. In 2000 Paddington Station moved to its current location, the Little Red Brick Schoolhouse on 13th and Quebec.

From the beginning, families committed to their children's educational development poured their energy and love into the school. They helped tirelessly with clean up days, snack provision and supplying the classrooms with everything from books to toys. Family members continue to work on fund-raising efforts, serve as members of the Board of Trustees and chair our many community building events. Families have always been an integral part of the fabric at Paddington; the family-teacher partnership continues today.

Paddington Station's integrated curriculum encompasses all the domains of development, including play, social-emotional, diversity, equity, inclusion and belonging, language development, cognitive, physical: fine motor and gross motor, literacy, math, science, social studies, and creative. Our teachers listen to each child and create thematic units based on the children's interests.

Both children and families enthusiastically embrace our amazing school building with its rich history, ample outdoor spaces and the caring warmth of the Paddington Station Preschool team.
