Ovation West Performing Arts' mission is to teach, create and perform outstanding music and musical theatre and to provide a high quality performing arts venue. This organization is made up Evergreen Chorale, Center Stage, Ovation West Musical Theatre, Altezza Chamber Choir, Summer Music Camp and Shinning Stars Concert Series.
The Evergreen Chorale is a community choir with almost 100 members and performs choral and ensemble musical selections in three to four concerts a year in December, May and July. In recent years, we have established a strong partnership with the Evergreen Chamber Orchestra and Jefferson Symphony Orchestra and perform with them. The Chorale also performs all over the community at local events and Christmas caroling at Evergreen's Life Care Center.
Ovation West Musical Theatre productions are performed in Sept-Oct and Feb-Mar each year. We hold a 2-week Summer Music Camp every June for children from kindergarten through high school. We also have a very active and expanding high school internship program. We provide over $4000 in scholarship funds for Summer Music Camp participants and choir members who have financial need.
Ovation West Performing Arts owns and maintains Center Stage theater, the primary indoor venue for music and theater in Evergreen. Donations are used to help support the operations of theater which benefits many groups in the community that utilize the space for events and shows.
The Shining Stars Concert Series is where we bring unique musical offering to the mountain area for enriching cultural experiences.
A donation to Ovation West Performing Arts supports all of the above and enriches the lives and programs of other organizations in the community.
We are constantly increasing the diversity of our patron base and gaining recognition throughout the Denver area for the quality of productions. We received 5 BroadwayWorld Denver awards for our 2017 regional premiere of "The Hunchback of Notre Dame" including Best Dramatic Musical, Best Music Director, Best Director of a Musical, Best Set Design, and Best Costume Design. Center Stage was also listed as one of the top ten places in Colorado to experience live theatre in 2017 & 2018. Our Summer Music Camp enrollment continues to grow, and in 2018 we had a 75% increase over the previous year.

We offer scholarships to high school students who sing with the Chorale, Chorale members who are experiencing financial hardship, and to participants in our Summer Music Camp whose families cannot afford the tuition. In 2017-18 we gave over $3,000 in scholarships to 19 participants in camp and $2,000 to 11 choir singers.
We continue to see the number of high school participants in the choir increase and retained members who would have not been able to continue singing without scholarships. In addition, we have made it possible for many more young people to attend Summer Music Camp, enrollment increased by 75% this year and with it the need for scholarships. In the past, several campers return in following years as camp staff and/or join the choir as high school interns. We were delighted that we could offer more than 30 recipients educational and enriching experiences through the scholarship program.
