Summary

One Chance to Grow Up is an initiative developed by Smart Colorado that focuses on protecting kids across the nation from the dangers of today's marijuana. We don't take sides on the politics of legalization for adults but instead serve as a reliable resource for parents, media, policymakers, and all those who care about kids. Started by concerned parents, we're a 501(c)(3) nonprofit supported by charitable contributions

EXCITING UPDATE: A generous donor has come forward and will match the first $5000 that is donated on CO Gives Day--DOUBLING your gift!

Our goals include raising awareness and educating about the dangers of marijuana for those under 21. The perception of harm among our youth continues to drop while commercial sales, products and potencies become more dangerous, available and deceptive.

Our accomplishments include:
- CO House Bill 21-1317 (see video)
-Public policies protecting youth
-Pregnant and breastfeeding women: after helping pass the law requiring signage warning pregnant and breastfeeding women of risks, we provided free signs to 2400 Colorado dispensaries.
-Skip it campaign: empowering local governments to opt out or limit marijuana commercialization to protect kids
-Public awareness & education campaigns around the harmful impacts on the developing brain
-Marijuana-free zones: creating safe places for kids that are free from marijuana commercialization, decreasing the risk of normalization. In over 400 schools and clubs- see logo above

Your donation will support our efforts as we act as the voice solely speaking and advocating on the behalf of kids regarding marijuana legalization and commercialization.
