Northern Colorado Youth for Christ (NCYFC) is a local branch of the international nonprofit Youth for Christ (YFC). Youth for Christ started in 1944 and is now located in 101 countries with 160 chapters in the United States. Youth for Christ was founded in Northern Colorado in 1955 as a Christian club that promoted events at school assemblies. In 1986, NCYFC began rebranding with a brand new EIN and name change complete in 1989.
In the 1990's the organization started to become what it is today: an organization that focuses on providing options and outlets for youth to create positive and appropriate relationships with peers and adults. Since its start in northern Colorado 60 years ago, the goals, the name, the activities, the youth, the place, and the staff of NCYFC have all changed; but the desire make a lasting, beneficial impact on youth's lives remains the same.
