Located in Clark, Colorado, NRCCS serves students across Routt County as the neighborhood school for North Routt Fire Protection District and a school of choice for many families from Steamboat Springs and beyond.

Our daughter has attended NRCCS for 5 years. NRCCS staff works endlessly to understand our child, listen to her and celebrate who she is. Even though some of her lessons have been challenging, our child learned how to advocate for herself, push through fear and believe in her unique capabilities.

Founded by a deeply dedicated group of parents and teachers, the North Routt Community Charter School comprises the Early Childhood Center, serving ages two to five, and the K-8 public school of choice chartered by the Steamboat Springs School District (SSSD).
Our philosophy emphasizes habits of learning and character traits, includes regular fieldwork outside of the classroom and prioritizes outdoor education.
