Opera Fort Collins
Opera - the crown jewel of the performing arts - brings together the widest range of collaborative talents and partnerships in the theater world. On stage and behind the curtain, three Opera Fort Collins productions come to life each season thanks to the intricate collaboration of professional vocalists, actors, instrumentalists, dancers, costumers, make-up artists, technical experts and skilled designers. Through our OFC outreach programs, we partner with regional schools and organizations to educate and engage new generations in the cultural arts. Finally, Opera Fort Collins is stronger every season because of the enthusiastic participation of regional patrons, businesses, corporations, foundations and volunteers who have sustained the Company since 1979. Thanks to strong foundations built by founder Elizabeth Elliott, retired artistic director Todd Queen, and the current artistic director Brian Clay Luedloff, OFC is well positioned to become an even greater regional presence. As with most performing arts organizations, OFC ticket sales cover less than one quarter of our general operating needs. While we are diligent in seeking grants, business support, fundraising opportunities and other revenue streams to supplement our modest annual budget, we need YOUR assistance to support the performances you enjoy each season. We invite your partnership to keep this world-class art form vibrant and alive. Thank you for your consideration... You keep us singing!
The Sanctuary, which is the permanent home of nearly 30 rescued wolves and wolf dogs, was significantly damaged by the High Park Fire in 2012 and flooding in the burn area in July of 2013. Enclosures and the road to and through W.O.L.F. need extensive repairs, four buildings were destroyed and equipment, including evacuation kennels were lost. In addition, the Sanctuary faces significant costs to mitigate further erosion from runoff and the removal of ash and debris.
