Description

6 times per month the Nederland Food Pantry is open for community members in need to come to the pantry to receive supplemental food assistance. They must bring proof that they live in the service area. Once they have done so, they are allowed to take dairy, bread, meat, produce, canned goods and packaged foods based upon the number of individuals in their household. They are also provided toiletries and pet food (when available). The Food Pantry is open on both weekdays and weekends to reach the most people in need: The first and last Thursday of each month and every Saturday.

On the last Thursday of the month, the Food Pantry provides a "Mini-Human Services Fair", when representative of Boulder County Human Services, EFAA, Bank On, and Peak to Peak Counseling offer advice and assistance to sign up for any needed human services programs.

The Clothing Closet is available to area residents during the open hours of the Food Pantry. Showing ID, residents are allowed to shop for free.

During the summer months, the Nederland Food Pantry grows many pounds of fresh vegetables in surrounding gardens to feed their clients.
