All donations stay in the communities from which they came and go directly to supporting those using our services. There is no cost to the people with disabilities with whom we work for any of the services we provide.

NWCCI supports people with disabilities to establish and maintain independence in the mountain communities we love. We connect those we serve with providers of services in areas such as housing, transportation, employment, assistive technology, access to healthcare & benefits, opportunities for civic engagement and leadership opportunities. We work together to set goals, explore options, make informed choices and develop independent living skills, such as self-advocacy and peer counseling, to further freedom and independence as valued members of inclusive, accessible and accommodating communities.

Mission

NWCCI is people with disabilities working together to access tools and resources, choose and direct supports, develop skills, and realize inclusive communities.

Background Statement

NWCCI began as a grass roots organization in the mid-nineties. State certification, awarded in December 1998 brought state and federal funds. Fundraising and foundation partnerships have yielded support from local, regional, state and federal government partners; as well as private and corporate donations, philanthropic foundations, and others. In July 2006, Grand and Summit Counties were added to NWCCI's service area, NWCCI is active in these communities with offices in Granby and Dillon.
