We cover all costs: medical (neutering, dental care, disease prevention & health solutions) food, training & more. Our team of caring fosters & veterinarians make sure each dog is physically and mentally healthy and socialized as best as possible. We rely donations to offset low adoption fees.
Mile High Dachshunds Rescue, Inc. is a volunteer-run, foster-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation based in northern Colorado and the Greater Denver Metro area committed to protecting and improving the lives of abandoned, abused, rescued, and surrendered dachshunds. We are supported entirely by donations, grants and fundraisers.
Mile High Dachshunds Rescue, affectionately known as Team Doxie was established in April 2015. We have found a loving home for over 250 dogs. We started out and continue to be a 100% volunteer-based organization, based in Denver, that rescues dachshunds throughout the West. We rely on the dedication of our volunteers and the generosity and kindness of our supporters and community to operate.
I adopted my sweet baby Maddie about a year and a half ago and we couldn't be happier; WHAT A PERFECT MATCH! I appreciate all of the care and attention they put into making sure the human/family and doggie are compatible--for the sake of both! A lot of work, time, money and effort goes into caring for these precious babies behind the scenes and I couldn't be more grateful for being blessed as one of their success stories! LOVE YOU GUYS!! ❤️ ... Renise Smith
