Dear Friends and Supporters,

This campaign is to raise funds for the much need Life-Changing services we offer. Each day at Mile High Behavioral Healthcare we bring a caring, seamless continuum of behavioral healthcare to the most vulnerable in our community-offering affordable care and shelter services with focused programs to address life challenges. We are proud to say we have served more than 250,000 individuals to date. As a safety-net provider in Colorado our charity is continuing to provide services to underserved individuals, families, all our clients, and those experiencing homelessness during this crisis. Much of our client base routinely relies on our programs and services, which has increased due to school closures, citizens being quarantined and clients losing their jobs. The coronavirus creates additional stress on our recovery community at a time when they are already struggling with the challenges of overcoming addiction.

With quarantining in place throughout Denver, our mental health and substance use services are becoming an essential need for those in the community. Currently, all services have shifted to telehealth and using a recovery app, which our clients and staff quickly adjusted to achieve great results. This campaign will support our organization's current needs to support the mental health and substance use needs to those in Denver. It will supplement technology, food needs, and support our staff so we can continue to serve our clients even if some staff are unable to work due to COVID-19.

All of MHBHC Denver's clients have high healthcare needs, including: co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders; the uninsured and underinsured; those who are low-income and/or experiencing homelessness; members of the LGBTQ+ community; people who are HIV+; and those who have experienced incarceration.

Below is a brief summary of the services and programs we operate at MHBHC, which all have been dramatically been impacted by COVID-19.

• Mile High Behavioral Healthcare: Providing mental health support, behavioral healthcare services, Court to Community programming and substance abuse groups.

• Transgender Center of the Rockies: The Transgender Center of the Rockies provides holistic gender-affirming services to support transgender and gender-expansive individuals. We provide social-emotional support and substance use treatment for the adult Colorado trans community with clinical groups, individual counseling, peer-led support groups, employment and PrEP case management and community events.

• Denver ELEMENT: This program promotes the journey of mental, physical, and social wellbeing for all LGBTQ+ individuals and their family members. We achieve this by providing opportunities for community building, personal growth, HIV/Substance use prevention, education, and the celebration of life.

• Aspen Miracle Center: Aspen is a temporary sober living facility for up to four months for pregnant and postpartum women struggling with substance use and mental health issues. The women are supported to sustain recovery, deliver a healthy baby, keep their family together and create a safe home for the newborn

• Miracles: The Miracles program continues to provide treatment for women struggling with substance use disorder and mental health with an integrated approach towards recovery. In 2019, we more than doubled our graduation rates and we expect that trend to continue with the support of our dedicated clinicians.

Thank you for your support!
