Help End Domestic Violence - Support the Crisis Center

I have volunteered with the Crisis Center for many years and have proudly served on their Board for the past 2 1/2 years. What I have found over these years is an amazing staff of dedicated therapists, advocates and counselors dedicated to their goal of creating a world free of violence through advocacy, education, and prevention.

What amazed me the most when I starting helping with The Crisis Center is that ALL of their services are free. The hotline, the emergency shelter, the adult and child therapy, the legal advocacy, the school-based outreach and the community outreach. All free!

But we know it doesn't come free and that's where we come in. While the Crisis Center does get federal and state grants we also rely heavily on individual donations.Here's how your donation can help:

- $22 operates the 24-hour Crisis Hotline for a day.
- $65 provides a month of legal advocacy for one client.
- $88 provides a night of shelter for one client.
- $137 provides a therapy session for one client.

Domestic violence continues at alarming rates in our area. Last year, the Crisis Center provided direct service to 546 adults and children impacted by domestic violence.
