For the last 25 years, the Mexican Cultural Center (MCC) has developed several cultural and educational programs increasing awareness in the community emphasizing on the importance of culture to the contribution of our society. We have provided the Colorado community with programming that has increased our partnerships and collaborations.
The goals of the Mexican Cultural Center are achieved through our three (3) signature programs: Día del Niño (Children's Day) celebrating children and world cultures; Colorado Symphony Orchestra concert and Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) - remembering and celebrating deceased family and friends, which build awareness and understanding about Mexican culture through the arts, educational programming, cultural events and programs.
In addition to our signature programs we offer year round expressions of art and culture.
Feedback from long-time participants have encouraged continuation of MCC programs. Many families have commented on how it has improved their children's participation in school as well as having shaped their perspective of others.
Increased participation in the programs has increased each year by 20% respectively and continues to show an increase in participation overall.
