Description

The School of Education at Metropolitan State University of Denver develops excellent teachers and educational leaders who engage in reflective practice and scholarly activity, and who are ethical decision makers and agents of social change. Our programs provide a curriculum that recognizes the multi-cultural nature of our society, the power of standards-based education, and the role of technology in instruction.

All donations will go to the School of Education Annual Scholarship Fund (https://advance.msudenver.edu/giving/makeagift/edu), which has been set up to support students during their student teaching experience. As student teachers, students work full-time in a local school classroom to fulfill their final credential before being recommended for licensure through the Colorado State Department of Education. Because of these responsibilities, many students struggle to financially balance the demands of a full-time job and university assignments.
